Michelle :
People in the media keep saying that McCain thinks Hillary voters “must be stupid” to blindly switch to Palin. So any Hillary voters who switch to Palin are as a result considered stupid.
Well, I’m switching from being a Hillary supporter to a Palin supporter, and NOT because I’m stupid. I’m sick of men (and many women) pushing off women’s rights to lead this country into some distant future.
In 1920, women gained the right to vote. It took until 1984 to get a woman on the VP ticket of a major party. It took another 24 years to do it a second time. This time, we can’t let it slip past us.

I completely agree!! Too many women out there are not appreciating the chance for change that we have been given!! A strong women in political office would be a great change that we should be welcoming for this country!!
LOL! Yeah, women’s rights ~ sure, why not vote for some creationist anti-choice zealot who wants to send your sons and daughters to war to protect “women’s rights”, especially if you have somehow failed to notice she stands for just about everything that is ANTI-women’s rights!
But you do what you think is best, of course. Which I’m thinking is working to drum up business for the Republicans by pretending to be a ‘real’ person on Yahoo Answers. LOL.
Cheers
come off it your american. people in your country voted for arnold schwarzenegger as the govenor of California for gods sake lol!
anyone has to be better than Bush who is the laughing stock of the world.
I’m not voting for someone who is so inexperienced. Our country is in crisis with two wars, an economy that’s weak, education that is losing ground against other countries, a decrepit health care system compared with other G8 countries, etc. Someone with only the experience of being a mayor for 9,000 and governor of a state like Alaska doesn’t have the knowledge to bring us back to glory. Were she from a state with a vital economy like California, Texas or even Louisiana I would be more compelled to vote for her. I think McCain should have chosen a stronger partner.
You vote for the person who upholds what you value. I’d support McCain and Palin not because I don’t think woman’s rights are important but because I think a bit of perspective is needed here and this whole choice thing is just ridiculously unopposed. Bush has tried there but who would take him seriously?
Why are feminists entitled to be so self-righteous about this whole affair and pretend that what they value is what everyone else should value?
If what Palin values is really so “terrible” then rationality will prevail and a consensus will force McCain to rethink his choice. But yea I understand why a feminist won’t vote for her. Ideology comes first doesn’t it as it always has done with feminism. The ends justify the means i.e. feminist sympathisers in the white house
Even if we disagree with everything she says, as well as everything her running mate says? Sorry.
well if you think it is wise to vote a pro-life , anti -gay woman ,who thinks creationism should be taught alongside evolution in our schools into a position where she will be a heartbeat away from the presidency
then you go girl!!!!!!!!!!!
That’s dumb Because that’s like black people supporting any black dude who comes and says he running for president even though his views oppose their own. There a time and a place to make a point an important election that both candidates say they will try to bring the back to what it was before george w bush became president is not the time or place and honestly if hillary ran in 2004 she would have won
I think for myself and I’m tickled pink about Palin. She’s smart, she doesn’t believe in killing unborn babies, and she’s a reformer! Nothing wrong with that!
