The Democrats and women’s issues?

Dede :

Many people say that the Democrats are strong in regard to women’s rights and issues. Abortion rights, equal pay etc… But what gives with a women’s right to an even playing field in the primary and election process? Hillary, the most powerful woman on earth, was counted out and drummed out of her rightful position on the Democratic ticket…I guess the Democratic party only goes so far in regard to women’s rights..Even though I’m a registered Democrat, I still don’t know how I’m going to vote. I’ve felt strongly about women’s rights all my life…and to quote Shakespeare: “Something is rotton in the state of Denmark.” when it comes to women’s rights and the Democratic party. Male egos seem to come before the good of the party and Hillary’s 18 million voters. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this….Thanks.

I used to be a Democrat when they were for equal rights. Increasingly, their talking points lack any philosophy at all. You can sum them up by saying, “We are against anything the Republicans are for”, and “We are for anything that will get us elected.” I’m really tired of them arguing both sides of an issue, depending on who is proposing it.

The party has really lost it’s focus.

They talk a good talk, but can’t walk the walk. It is horrible the way Hillary was treated. Sexism is alive and well in the Dem party, but they will all call racism very quickly. Of course they love Hillary now–she is Obama’s #1 cheerleader. ***

Your are right. Look what they have done so far. Hillary’s chances at being President were squashed, then she wasn’t even considered being on the ticket for V.P. Now the Republican V.P. is being bashed because she is a woman. I think they want all woman bare foot and pregnant in the kitchen. Republicans don’t think this way.

Why should a powerful women or any woman continuously clean up man’s mess….It’s time they learn to clean up after themselves. Then we as women will keep it clean, comfortable, and safe for all….Blessings Yahoo
