The House recently passed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act legislation that would broaden the statute of limitations for women to file a claim for gender wage discrimination . It currently is a miniscule 180 days. This Act was just presented to the Senate in which the Republicans blocked it. John McCain made the statement that women just need more education and training to make more money. Smart move to gain the votes of American women! Do we need a candidate that wants to restrict the rights of women? How does this comment make you feel?
J-Card- I am not an Obama supporter. I support Hillary which was a champion in bringing forth this Act. Both Hillary and Obama both voted for this Act. I’ll be damned before I would vote for this sexist geriatric war loving loser.
Hawaiian- Yes, some people do need more education but that includes both genders male and female. Females that have the SAME education, experience, and qualifications should not make 77 cents (white) and 63 cents (African American)to the dollar of their male counterparts. If you would like to settle for less then let your wallet burn. I do not stand for inequality.
Hawaiian- Read the act the reason I addressed this to women is because the act revolves around the gender pay gap..Please read the info you are no getting the question.

if a guy, and he has never taken martial arts by the way, says there’s no way a girl could slap his face-he says it cuz it’s never happened before-and if one tried he’d catch her hand, would you agree with him? he says it doesn’t matter if how hot the girl is, it wouldn’t work on him? a girlfriend and i are going to test that theory to see. we’re going to pick a girlfriend of hers, who is pretty fine i might add, and she says she has had to slap guys before, and outright laughed at his claim. she won’t warn him ahead of time. it’s just once. what will happen? tell me so i can bet. i want to make sure. he gets slapped just like all the other guys out there? or he’s right, and does catch her hand?
Part-Time Cattle Rustler :
McCain pollster Bill McInturf wrote: “[O]ur long identified target of ‘Walmart women’ – those women without a college degree in households under $60,000 a year in income are also swinging back solidly in our direction,” Also: “Non-college men,” “Rural voters, both men and women, “Right-to-life voters” .
Does this mean that McCain depends upon people with less education (as the pollster put it) and then dupes them even further with tax burdens?
Scott :
I agree women should be paid the same as men and promoted however equality should be equality across the board.
Why is it that i as a man have to sacrifice my life to serve the country and women dont even though more than 50% of voters are women and women can get financial aid without signing up for selective service.
If a man sleeps with a girl who is 1 day under the age of consent he can go to jail for a longtime like the guy wilson. However Debra Lafave slept with a boy 20 years younger and only got probation in florida.
Child custody and divorce is another issue where men are discriminated. Example look at michael strahan his wife was given $15 million in the marriage yet she did not earned any of those money and would not have earned it had she been working on her own and never met and divorced him.

Bush is pro-life. He ran a campaign against abortions but He’s been president for 8 years, and still women can get abortions….
Am i the only one who think politicians who are pro-life are full of BS? McCain is pro-life but i dont think he’ll end abortion…
What do you guys think? Just another talking point to win an election?
Cherry D :
Can’t be women voters, most women voters love some form of birth control, most people will not let Rove Vs Wade to be over turn.
McCain losing the Jewish voter because they believe in women’s rights.
Illogical :
This is what i want to know.
-Who your candidate is?
-Why do you think they are better for the job
-Who wouldnt you pick
For instance (mines)
-Barrack Obama ![]()
-His political agenda is more in touch with the peoples needs and is also a big relief from Bush’s campiegn. He just seems more of a logical choice than others.
-I wouldnt pick Hillary Clinton because the main reason she is getting so much voters right now is the woman thing and that shouldnt be a factor since women will not get anything out of this because women are already equal to men so yeah plus shes only out for things that dont interest me.
so yeah tell me yours Opinions and views!
mintman123 :
Did McCain pick Palin to get more women voters or to get on the religious rights good side, being how she is pro life I don’t think he picked her to get more women voters, but because of her strick religious view I think he went for that

Many people say that the Democrats are strong in regard to women’s rights and issues. Abortion rights, equal pay etc… But what gives with a women’s right to an even playing field in the primary and election process? Hillary, the most powerful woman on earth, was counted out and drummed out of her rightful position on the Democratic ticket…I guess the Democratic party only goes so far in regard to women’s rights..Even though I’m a registered Democrat, I still don’t know how I’m going to vote. I’ve felt strongly about women’s rights all my life…and to quote Shakespeare: “Something is rotton in the state of Denmark.” when it comes to women’s rights and the Democratic party. Male egos seem to come before the good of the party and Hillary’s 18 million voters. I’d like to hear your thoughts on this….Thanks.
